JDY Gourmet to Debut Lillie’s Q BBQ Sauce at Summer Fancy Food Show
Chicago, IL - (Virtual Press Office) – A Chicago barbecue spot will be catapulted onto the national stage at 2012 Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC. Lillie’s Q will debut their line of bottled sauces at booth 4522, the booth hosted by Chicago specialty foods company JDY Gourmet. The show takes place June 17, 18, and 19th. Lillie’s Q’s six regional barbeque sauces and two barbeque rubs are available at Chicago retailers such as Schaefer’s, Binny’s South Loop, and Standard Market; the Fancy Food Show marks the brand’s national launch.

JDY will also partner with other celebrated specialty brands for the Fancy Food Show in order to demonstrate their broad range of products. Nordic Creamery of Westby, WI will sample their hand-churned butters and table cheeses, and O-Med Olive Oil of Granada Spain will show their line of extra virgin oils and single-varietal vinegars. A rotating demo spot will also be featured at JDY’s booth, with daily special presentations from Boat Street Pickles, the Scrumptious Pantry, and Conservas Ortiz. On Monday and Tuesday, Fermin Iberico will demonstrate how to cut and serve Spain’s most famous food, the dry-cured jamon iberico – expect a crowd to gather for samples of this luxury item.

This is the second time JDY has exhibited at the Fancy Food Show. Long known to chefs in the Chicago area, JDY has recently gained a higher profile with area retailers and developed a nationwide customer base of restaurants and shops. The company specializes in craft cheeses, Spanish imports, specialty proteins, charcuterie, and artisan grocery items. “The relationships that we have with our producers are what we feel differentiates us from most other companies in the area” says JDY President David Yourd. “Our distribution partnership with Lillie’s Q is a great example of our connection to the chefs and craftspeople we work with.”
