NEW BEVERAGE BOTTLES SECRETS OF THE AMAZON RAINFOREST
AMA Waters Bring Natural Rainforest Extracts to US Consumers While Working to Protect the Rainforest

Washington, DC – (Virtual Press Office) - With nearly 40 thousands species of plants, the Amazon Rainforest is an eco-system so diverse and beneficial it’s the origin of nearly 25 percent of all modern medicine. Yet, most of the beneficial plants found in the rainforest are still unknown to the outside world. AMAzon Waters plans to change that with the introduction of AMAzon Beverages.

AMAzon Beverages—a lineup consisting of coconut water and tea blends and enhance waters sweetened with coconut water—are infused with extracts from some of the most popular, beneficial rainforest plants. Plants like the antioxidant powerhouse camu camu, and the polyphenol rich cupuaçu, which is expected to be the next, big super fruit.

“Many of the extracts we use will be new to the U.S. consumer,” explains AMA Waters CEO Paulo Zottolo. “But they’ve been cultivated and used as part of a healthy lifestyle by the people in the Amazon for centuries.”

Nine AMAzon Beverage flavors are matched with a different natural extract. Each 16.9 ounce bottle tells the story of the extract and the history of its use in the Rainforest.

AMA Waters has partnered with the CBA – Amazonian Biotechnology Center- a Brazilian organization committed to protecting the Rainforest, its natural resources and local economy.

“We’re working closely with the CBA to ensure that the exploration of the rainforest is conducted in a sustainable way,” said Zottolo. Over 30 million people, consisting of nearly 350 different indigenous tribes and ethnicities, call the rainforest home.

“The CBA ensures that when these extracts are harvested, the lively hood of these people is not disturbed” Zottolo explains.

AMAzon Beverages can be purchased locally at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods and Royal Farms. AMA Waters can be found at booth number 626/8.
