The VITEC Optibase MGTS-Prism is an IP Transcoder for Multi-Screen Video Delivery, Over-The-Top (OTT) services and Mobile Streaming. This HD/SD blade solution has an innovative blend of advanced video and audio codecs and hardware acceleration. The Optibase MGTS-Prism offers unprecedented transcoding power of up to 10 transcoding services per blade - unique transcoded streams or Adaptive Bit-Rate (ABR) profiles. Combined with the live HD/SD-SDI or Analog live ingest blade, the MGTS-Prism can be hosted in the fully redundant Optibase MGW Blade Platforms to achieve unmatched baseband input density of 2x–3x compared to the competition and cost-efficiency per rack-unit.

The Optibase MGTS-Prism provides an "all-in-one" solution for streaming video to any hardware device or software player using all common protocols for Apple™ iOS™, Android™, Windows Mobile, Symbian and other devices; Apple™ HTTP Live Streaming, Microsoft Silverlight Smooth Streaming and Windows Media, Adobe™ Flash HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS), 3GPP / Edge, RTP, RTSP UDP and more. The blade incorporates a built-in segmenter for the creation of the bandwidth efficient ABR technology and is capable of generating up to 8 video profiles for a single source, fully synchronized, to deliver exceptional picture quality in any network condition with dynamic, frame accurate, and seamless transition between profiles on the viewer's screen. The Optibase MGTS-Prism packs a unique set of advanced capabilities which includes: logo insertion, Q-tone support for ad-insertion, Closed Captioning, DVB subtitles and Teletext. Exceptional broadcast quality picture is achieved with wide range of pre-processing tools that include adaptive de-interlacing, video resizing, frame rate down-conversion, built-in encryption for commonly used tablets and mobile devices, and an SNMP Cluster Management System to provides operator with full control of all services and capabilities for ease-of-use and efficient monitoring of live services.
