New Gefen Matrix with Built-in HDBaseT Extension Integrates HDMI Sources and Displays and Extends HDMI up to 100 Meters
Indianapolis, IN Booth 3725 - (Virtual Press Office) – The new GefenPRO 8x8 Matrix for HDMI w/8 ELR (Extra Long Range) extension based on HDBaseT provides a rack mount solution to route HDMI long distances while integrating any eight hi-def sources to any eight HDTV displays or projectors using HDMI. Proprietary Gefen FST (Fast Switching Technology) guarantees an instant switch between sources for high performance systems. High definition resolutions up to 1080p full HD with 3DTV pass-through and multichannel audio are supported from source to display. Additionally, all eight displays can be extended remotely. An ELR extension of HDMI is possible using just one CAT-5 cable that delivers HDMI with power up to 330-feet (100m) in distance. Gefen’s POL (Power Over Line) technology is based on Power over Ethernet standards and frees the receiver unit from requiring power at the remote location. Bi-directional IR is also extended over the same cable as well as RS-232 and web IP for control.
