A-Cam dl Panchromatic – for black and white Cinematography

(Virtual Press Office) - At IBC 2012 (A71, Hall 11), the Swedish camera manufacturer Ikonoskop is showing a brand new camera in its A-Cam dll product line.

The new A-Cam dll Panchromatic Carl T. Dreyer Edition is the first true black and white digital film camera on the market.

The images produced by the A-Cam dll Panchromatic brings black and white digital cinematography to a new level. By using a monochrome sensor it reproduces a superior range of gradations in uncompressed CinemaDNG RAW format. Since the sensor of camera has no color filters, and there is no need for optical low pass filter in front of it, the A-Cam dll Pancromatic will deliver sharper black and white images than ordinary color cameras.

Apart from the A-Cam dII Panchromatic, the company is at IBC 2012 showing the full product line of the A-Cam dll system including the recently launched MK-3 ExpressCard Reader, new footage and different CinemaDNG RAW workflow solutions.
