(Virtual Press Office) -- Booth 746 – Digital connectivity solutions provider Gefen brings two new Wireless for HDMI Extenders using 5Ghz technology to WFX. Both products deliver uncompressed 1080p full HD resolutions with no latency or degradation of the HDMI signal, offering a quick and convenient set-up with no extension cables required.
The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI 1080p Short Range (SR) connects any display located within an 80 foot (25m) radius to the source. It is best suited for in-room applications such as conference rooms and offices, and does not require a line-of-sight placement between the source and display. This model shrinks the sender unit down to a small "dongle" that discreetly plugs into any laptop, Blu-ray or media player equipped with HDMI and a USB connector (to be used as a power source). An external power supply powers the receiver unit.
The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI 1080p Long Range (LR) connects any source to a display up to 100 feet (30m) in distance. The Wireless for HDMI LR has the added ability to transmit 1080p full HD through walls to an adjacent or a distant room, further expanding its performance.
Both Wireless for HDMI extenders support 3DTV pass-through, 12 bit video and audio features such as Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and PCM digital audio streams up to 7.1 channels.
"Both of the Wireless for HDMI extenders are ideal for worship facilities because you don't have to run wires or move cabling in conduit to deliver 1080p full HD to a projector mounted on the ceiling," explained Hagai Gefen, president and CEO, Gefen. "They don't require line-of-sight placement and each comes in a small, portable enclosure that can be transported and installed in minutes."
Additional features allow up to eight sender units to be switched using a hand-held IR remote control between different sources to one receiver unit connected to a HDTV display or projector.
