CABLEREADY BRINGING COMPANY RECORD OF
MORE THAN 320 HOURS OF NEW PROGRAMMING TO CANNES

Company Will Introduce Exciting New Series 'Lost Treasure Hunters,'
'The Night Patrol' and 'Struggle for Justice' at MIPCOM

NORWALK, CT, SEPTEMBER 26, 2012 — (Virtual Press Office) — CABLEready, the international television program distribution and development company, has acquired the exclusive international rights to Lost Treasure Hunters and The Night Patrol, as well as US rights for Struggle for Justice. The company will be introducing the series at MIPCOM (Stand #R31.17), where it will be offering a company record of over 320 hours of new programming. The announcement was made today by CABLEready President and CEO Gary Lico.

Exclaimed Mr. Lico, "Combining for 30-years of television production experience, Brad Kulhman and Casey Brumels have produced a wide variety of riveting network television that grabs viewers' attention and does not let go – from episode one on.  Lost Treasure Hunters continues that successful tradition."  He added, "The Night Patrol and Struggle for Justice are great additions to our broad line-up of much sought after crime-related programming."

Lost Treasure Hunters (6x60) follows a group of prospectors, gemologists and miners as they journey to an ancient Indian city known as the possible source for the world's most valuable diamonds and tackle the cities' extreme weather conditions, poisonous snakes and superstitious native culture. Produced by Ping Pong Productions, the series airs on Animal Planet in the U.S. Executive producers on the series are John Slaughter and Todd Hurvitz.

The Night Patrol (30-minute episodes) is a factual entertainment crime series that takes viewers on a ride during the night shift with the police patrol of Finland. From shift assignments, to wild chases and arrests, both the comical and tragic faces of the night are revealed. When the night turns to day, the policemen disclose their motivation for police work and reflect on the events of the night.  To show appreciation for the assistance and cooperation of the Finland police patrol and the great work they do for the citizens of Finland, CABLEready will be making a donation to Victim Support Finland. The series is produced by Aito Media.

Struggle for Justice (4x60/US rights only) is an original series that tells the story of individuals who were convicted of crimes they did not commit and had to struggle to clear their name. Episodes include:

  • Jamie Nelson – Nelson served three and a half years for allegedly raping his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child. While serving his minimum sentence, his ex-girlfriend went on to accuse more than 30 other men of assault or rape.
  • Ronald Dalton – After his wife accidentally choked on a piece of cereal and dies, a pathologist concludes that she had been strangled and finds Dalton guilty of 2nd degree murder.
  • Donald Marshall – When spending 11 years trying to prove his innocence in a murder case, Marshall was acquitted but blamed for his own conviction when they again, wrongfully determine he was trying to rob the real killer.
  • Wilson Nepoose – An alcoholic with a petty drinking-related record, Nepoose was an easy target when a naked female body turned up in a nearby gravel pit. Although his family helped to clear his name, there was never a happy ending for Nepoose.

Also available at the market will be TV Guide's Sexiest (12 x 60), a series of specials highlighting the sexiest aspects of Hollywood, big rig and RV customizing reality series Outcast Kustoms (6 x 60), documentary series Bullied: You're Not Alone (5 x 30), over-the-top home design reality series Esther Extraordinaire (10 x 30), and fishing-focused travel series Season on the Edge (8 x 30)
