About Chuggington™ Series Four

(Virtual Press Office) -- A brand new series of Chuggington is now in production.  The new adventures consist of 26 x 10 minute episodes which are expected to premiere on CBeebies in the UK in autumn 2013.

Series 4 has all the values & attributes of prior series whilst opening new storylines and adventures as the trainees move to their next level of training as apprentices to offer:

• New exciting adventures
• New training challenges
• New characters and heroes
• New locations

Wilson, Brewster & Koko are moving up to their next level of training – taking on new apprenticeships & guided by new mentors:

• Wilson joins the Chug Patrol led by chief Chug Patroller, JACKMAN
• Brewster becomes a Chuggineer supervised by ZACK
• Koko takes on the challenge of becoming a high speed passenger chugger with the help of HANZO

Wilson and the Chug Patrol

Wilson moves his training to Chug Patrol HQ as a new apprentice in the rescue team!
It's time for Wilson to test his bravery and courage as he becomes a trainee at Chug Patrol!
He must take his new responsibilities seriously as his fellow Chuggers rely on him to come to their rescue!  Fitted with new sirens, hazard stripes and a chug patrol "chug com" to communicate with the Chug Patrol team, Wilson is "in control and ready to roll!" Wilson is mentored by new character, Jackman.

Brewster and the Chuggineers

Brewster is welcomed in to the team of Chuggineers for his next phase of training! This will be a new test of strength, concentration and determination for Brewster as he joins the Chuggineers!  His key duties will include hauling, loading, lifting, engineering, digging, drilling, fixing and exploding!  With construction hazard stripes and additional horns to alert his crew, Brewster is ready to take on the new training challenges ahead to keep everything running smoothly in Chuggington. Brewster is mentored by Zack.

Koko and the Speed Delivery Team

Koko takes her wheels to the rails as her training moves to Chuggington's Speed Fleet.
For Koko, it's all about using her best strengths and talents as a high speed engine.
Armed with her turbo boosters, Koko is excited to perfect her raceway abilities and deliveries of parts, passengers and parcels as the fastest trainee in Chuggington! Her challenges will involve concentration, consideration and time keeping. Koko is mentored by new character, Hanzo.

Introducing Jackman and Chug Patrol

Jackman joins Chuggington in Series 4 as the chief of Chug Patrol and the bravest Chugger on the tracks! With a twinkle in his eye and strong leadership skills, Jackman makes the perfect mentor for Wilson, who aspires to follow in his tracks!

Introducing Zack and the Chuggineers

Zack joins Chuggington to head up the Chuggineers. This foreman is organised, hard-working and extremely safety conscious, making him the perfect leader of the Chuggineer crew and mentor to Brewster. Joined by his fellow team members Tyne and Fletch, this engineering team are responsible for all the heavy lifting, loading and building of bridges, tunnels, stations as well as laying track and making repairs.

Introducing Hanzo

Series 4 also sees the introduction of Hanzo, the fastest train in Chuggington!  Mentor to Koko, Hanzo is sleek, streamlined and has a photographic memory. He believes there is no greater honour than transporting passengers quickly, but always safely, to their destination. Respectful, dedicated and precise, Hanzo encourages fellow Speed Fleet chuggers to be the best they can through rigorous practice. As well as always extremely punctual.

Pre-schoolers can also look forward to some brand new destinations including the Working Wheels Yard manned by Dunbar, where the trainees start and finish their day – refuel, clean and ready for action! Old Puffer Pete is in charge of the Drop and Load Freight Yard, the central distribution point for all things coming in to and out of Chuggington.  While Rocky Ridge Quarry, the source for mining and building materials, is run by Speedy McAllister.  Other new destinations include City Station – where all tracks meet.  Emery and Decka are found here working alongside Hanzo and Koko.  As the fastest train in Chuggington, Hanzo needs somewhere to train and he and Koko can often be found turbo booster training with high speed practice runs at the Chugasonic Speedway.
